Welcome to Goomburra Valley Campground

February - nature's delight!

EMERGENCY INFORMATION for ALL VISITORS AND LOCALS to Goomburra Valley:

Last year we built an all-weather helipad on our property for LifeFlight to use if needed in the Goomburra Valley.  This was in response to an earlier emergency where the ground was too wet for the helicopter to land at another location in the Valley.  Our helipad has been used once (by others) and we were pleased we could assist.

Last night, there was another emergency in the valley and the helicopter was able to land on that property – but we were later asked the details of the location of our helipad.  We thought this information had been sent to all emergency services and personnel on the ground.  Local knowledge is invaluable.

We hope anyone reading this takes note of the following information and can pass onto anyone they know in the valley – or anyone visiting our valley to advise if there is an emergency.

Latitude -27.98178

Longitude 152.29106

We also advise that as part of the Goomburra Valley Disaster Management Plan that is being completed – tune your UHF’s to Channel 21 in any emergency situation.  Many of us do not have mobile service – by using CHANNEL 21 – we can stay informed and this information should have also been passed onto emergency services to assist with communication in the Valley.

Stay safe and informed!
